Introduction

The DYTY series comprises self-starting three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors rated from 0.55 to 37 kW. The catalog specifies a fully enclosed, self-cooled construction, F-class insulation, S1 duty, IC411 cooling and IP54 protection. Standard ratings are 50 Hz and 380 V, with other voltages available on request. The motors can start directly, or they can be started with a variable-frequency drive before switching to mains-frequency operation. The series is intended to replace Y-series low-voltage induction motors in applications including petrochemical, mining and textile equipment.

Model Designation

DYTY 90S-4 L: DYTY identifies the series; 90S is the frame size; 4 is the number of poles; L denotes an aluminium housing. If L is omitted, the housing is cast iron.

Advantages

Self-starting operation: Supports direct starting and variable-frequency starting followed by transfer to mains-frequency operation.
